The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the connection between the windshield wiper motor and windshield wipers could loosen and slip. If this happens, the windshield wipers may not work. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that don't work could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, replace the windshield wiper system.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, la connexion entre le moteur d'essuie-glace de pare-brise et les essuie-glace pourrait se desserrer et glisser. Si cela se produisait, les essuie-glace de pare-brise pourraient ne pas fonctionner. Risque pour la sécurité : Des essuie-glace de pare-brise qui ne fonctionnent pas pourraient réduire la visibilité et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : BMW doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le système d'essuie-glace.
