The issue

On certain Volvo 740, 760 and 940, the seatbelts for the auxiliary seat are designed to be routed under a diagonal cross brace during fastening. The labeling which instructs the user in the proper routing is inadequate. As a result, the belt may be routed over the brace, and this may make it possible for the belt to be inadvertently released. Correcton: Proper instructional labels will be installed on seats. In addition, new buckle assemblies will be installed.

Sur certaines Volvo 740, 760 et 940, les ceintures de sécurité des sièges auxiliaires doivent être passées sous un support diagonal avant d'être bouclées. Le libellé des instructions à cet effet est inadéquat. Il se peut donc que l'usager fasse passer la ceinture du côté supérieur du support, ce qui peut entraîner que la ceinture soit débouclée par simple inadvertance.
