The issue
On certain Volvo 704, 744 and 745, the front driveshaft flange bolts may loosen and result in separation of the driveshaft from the transmission. Separation can cause damage to the gear selector and loss of power to the rear wheels which could lead to diminished vehicle control under certain circumstances. Correction: Driveshaft flange bolts and nuts will be replaced and the joint between the driveshaft and transmission will be modified.

Sur certaines Volvo 704, 744 et 745, les boulons du flasque de l'arbre d'entraînement avant penvent se desserer causant la séparation de l'arbre et de la boîte de vitesse. Cette défectuosité peut endommager le dispositif de changement de vitesse et causer la perte de traction des roues arrières, ce qui risque dans certains cas, d'entraîner la perte de maîtrise du véhicule.
