The issue

On certain trucks, the steering shaft may contact the top of the firewall adapter opening. Over time the adapter could wear a groove in the steering shaft and eventually cause the steering shaft to fail, resulting in loss of steering control and a possible crash. Correction: Firewall adapter plate will be modified on affected vehicles.

Sur certains camions, l’arbre de direction peut entrer en contact avec la partie supérieure de l’ouverture d’adaptateur du coupe-feu. À la longue, ce contact avec l’adaptateur peut creuser un sillon dans l’arbre de direction et éventuellement causer le bris de ce dernier, ce qui risque d’entraîner une perte de maîtrise de la direction et de causer un accident. Correction : La plaque d’adaptateur du coupe-feu devra être modifiée sur les véhicules visés.
