The issue

Certain heavy-duty trucks equipped with TRW 20-EDL Ball Sockets were manufactured with a case depth and/or hardness that were below specifications. A bearing that is below specification may prematurely wear-out the ball socket, which, in turn, may lead to a separation of the tie rod. Correction: Dealers will replace the tie rods.

Certains camions lourds sont équipés de rotules sphériques TRW modèle 20-EDL qui sont dotées d'un roulement dont le logement n'a pas la bonne profondeur ou n'a pas la dureté prévue. ce qui pourrait entraîner l'usure prématurée des rotules et le bris des barres d'accouplement. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer les barres d'accouplement.
