The issue
On certain vehicles, the steering shaft pinch bolt interferes with the convoluted rubber boot that protects it. Over time, a hole may wear into the boot and catch the bolt. If the bolt catches on the hole, the boot may restrict the movement of the steering wheel, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash without warning, which could result in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealer will affect repairs.

Sur certains véhicules, le boulon de serrage de l'arbre de direction peut entrer en contact avec la gaine conique caoutchoutée qui la recouvre. Il se peut qu'avec le temps un trou se creuse dans la gaine et que le boulon s'engage dans le trou. Si c'est le cas, la gaine peut entraver le mouvement du volant, ce qui risque de provoquer un accident imprévisible qui peut causer des dégâts matériels, des blessures corporelles ou des pertes de vie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront faire les réparations nécessaires.
