The issue

On certain vehicles, incorrect coating was applied to the parking brake assembly anchor bolt during fabrication. This could reduce the fatigue life of the bolt and lead to premature failure. If this bolt were to fail, there is a potential for the truck to roll away while parked without warning. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace defective bolts.

Sur certains véhicules, le mauvais revêtement a été appliqué sur le boulon d'ancrage de l'ensemble de freinage de stationnement durant la fabrication, ce qui pourrait réduire la longévité à la fatigue du boulon et causer une défaillance prématurée. Si le boulon venait à briser, il se pourrait que le camion se déplace inopinément même si le frein de stationnement est serré. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le boulon défectueux.
