The issue
On certain vehicles equipped with an MBE900 (EPA04 and EPA07) engine, the intake air grid heater may short circuit and fail. This could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install an additional external relay to prevent battery connection to the grid heater when the vehicle is not running and when grid heater control signal is absent.

Sur certains véhicules à moteur MBE900 (EPA 04 et EPA07), la grille de chauffage de l'air d'admission pourrait se court-circuiter, faire défaut et provoquer un incendie, ce qui pourrait endommager des biens matériels ou blesser quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser un relais externe supplémentaire pour empêcher la batterie de se brancher à la grille de chauffage lorsque le véhicule ne fonctionne pas et lorsqu'il n'y a pas de signal de commande au niveau de la grille de chauffage.
