The issue

Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210.2 - Lower Universal Anchorage Systems for Restraint Systems and Booster Cushions. The plastic buttons on the seatback of second row seats, which identify the location of the UAS anchor bars, may have been installed slightly outside the limits prescribed by the Standard. Correction: A production change has been undertaken to remedy the technical non-compliance. No corrective recall action is required as the technical non-compliance is deemed to be non-safety related.

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la Norme de Sécurité des Véhicules Automobiles du Canada 210.2 – Dispositifs universels d’ancrages d’attaches inférieurs des ensembles de retenue et des coussins d’appoint. Les boutons de plastique à l'arrière des sièges de la deuxième rangée, qui identifient l'emplacement des barres d'ancrage UAS, pourraient avoir été posés légèrement à l'extérieur des limites prescrites par la norme. Correction : On a entrepris une modification au niveau de la chaîne de production pour corriger la non-conformité technique. Aucun rappel ne doit être effectué, car on juge que la non-conformité technique n'est pas liée à la sécurité.
