The issue

On certain trucks, the positive battery cable (between the battery and the starter) could chafe against a convoluted tubing which, over time, could cause abrasion damage to the cable insulation, possibly resulting in an electrical short circuit. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the positive battery cable between the battery and the starter.

Sur certains camions, le câble positif de la batterie (entre la batterie et le démarreur) pourrait s'user par frottement contre une tubulure convolutée qui, à la longue, pourrait causer des dommages par abrasion à l'isolant du câble, ce qui pourrait causer un court-circuit. Un court-circuit pourrait causer un incendie endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le câble positif de la batterie entre la batterie et le démarreur.
