The issue
On certain vehicles, the terminal bolts that secure the main fuse terminals within the fuse block may not have been tightened properly during production. This may result an electrical open circuit, which could cause the terminals to overheat, potentially causing smoke, and increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, an open circuit could also affect operation of the box light, operation of the air suspension dump valve, the ABS warning light illuminating, and a possible engine stall. These conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and ensure the main fuse terminal bolts are tightened to specification.

Sur certains véhicules, les boulons qui fixent les bornes de fusible principal dans le boîtier à fusibles pourraient ne pas avoir été serrés adéquatement pendant la production. Cela pourrait produire un circuit ouvert, ce qui pourrait faire en sorte que les bornes surchauffent, ce qui pourrait produire de la fumée, et augmenter le risque d'un incendie. De plus, un circuit ouvert pourrait aussi avoir une incidence négative sur le fonctionnement de la lumière de la boîte, sur le fonctionnement du robinet de décharge de la suspension pneumatique et sur l'éclairge du voyant d'avertissement des freins ABS. Il pourrait aussi faire caler le moteur. Ces problèmes pourraient augmenter le risque d'un accident blessant quelqu'un ou endommageant des biens matériels. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter les boulons de borne de fusible principal et s'assurer qu'ils sont serrés selon les spécifications.
