The issue

On certain vehicles, the secondary clutch disengagement switch may have been omitted during vehicle assembly or, in some instances, removed during servicing. As such, primary switch failure would cause the automated manual transmission’s clutch to remain engaged when the brakes are applied. This could increase stopping distances, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a micro-switch at the brake pedal and update the software to run a diagnostic on the switch during engine start-up.

Sur certains véhicules, l'interrupteur de désenclenchement secondaire de l'embrayage pourrait ne pas avoir été posé pendant le montage du véhicule; dans certains cas, il pourrait avoir été enlevé pendant l'entretien. La défaillance de l'interrupteur principal ferait en sorte que l'embrayage de la boîte de vitesses manuelle automatisée demeurerait enclenché lors du serrage des freins. Cela pourrait augmenter les distances de freinage, ce qui pourrait causer un accident endommageant des biens matériels ou blessant quelqu'un. Correction : À déterminer.
