The issue
On certain ATV and side-by-side UTV’s, the material of the fuel pump flange assembly (PFA) could degrade over time and may crack. In some circumstances, if the PFA material were to crack, it could result in a fuel leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, could increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a protective fuel pump cover to shield the PFA from contamination.

Sur certains VTT et VUTT de type côte à côte, le matériau de la bride de la pompe à carburant pourrait se détériorer avec le temps et se fissurer. Dans certains cas, des fissures au niveau du matériau de la bride pourraient provoquer une fuite de carburant. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, une fuite de carburant pourrait augmenter les risques d'incendie pouvant entraîner des blessures ou des dommages matériels (ou les deux). Mesure corrective : Les concessionnaires devront poser un couvercle de protection sur la pompe à carburant pour protéger la bride des contaminants.
