The issue

Issue: The passenger front door may not have been built correctly. This may cause the airbag sensors not to work properly. As a result, the side airbag and curtain shield airbag may not work properly in a crash. It may also cause the airbags to deploy suddenly without a crash. Safety Risk: Airbags that do not work properly in a crash or that deploy suddenly could create an increased risk of injuries. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger front door sub-assembly with a new one.

Problème : La portière du passager avant pourrait avoir été mal construite. Par conséquent, les capteurs de coussin gonflable pourraient mal fonctionner. Le coussin gonflable latéral et le rideau gonflable pourraient alors mal fonctionner en cas d'accident. De plus, les coussins/rideaux gonflables pourraient se déployer soudainement sans impact. Risque pour la sécurité : Des coussins/rideaux gonflables qui ne fonctionnent pas adéquatement en cas d'accident ou qui se déploient soudainement pourraient augmenter les risques de blessures. Mesure corrective : L'entreprise avisera les propriétaires par la poste. Les propriétaires touchés devront amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire remplacer le sous-ensemble de portière du passager avant par un sous-ensemble neuf.
