The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, an undersized wire in the ground circuit harness could overheat and melt a connector. If this happens, the engine may stall and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to an authorized DTNA Service Facility to replace the ground wire harness.

Problème : Sur certains camions, un fil sous-dimensionné dans le faisceau du circuit de mise à la masse pourrait surchauffer et faire fondre un connecteur. Si cela se produisait, le moteur pourrait caler et le conducteur pourrait ne pas pouvoir le redémarrer. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance du moteur pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion à un centre de service DTNA agréé pour faire remplacer le faisceau de câbles de mise à la masse.
