The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the pass-through power stud (an electrical connection located on the bulkhead) may come into contact with the bulkhead. If this happens, there could be electrical arcing (sparks). Note: This recall replaces FL-766 (Transport Canada Recall 2018-190). If your truck was inspected as a part of that recall, but the pass-through power stud was not replaced, your truck requires this repair. Safety Risk: Electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the pass-through power stud.

Problème : Sur certains camions, le goujon d'alimentation intermédiaire (une connexion électrique située sur la cloison) peut entrer en contact avec la cloison. Si cela se produit, il peut y avoir un arc électrique (étincelles). Remarque : Le présent rappel remplace le rappel FL-766 (le rappel 2018-190 de Transports Canada). Si votre camion a été inspecté dans le cadre de ce rappel, mais que le goujon d'alimentation intermédiaire n'a pas été remplacé, cette réparation est nécessaire. Risques pour la sécurité : Un arc électrique peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion à un centre de service autorisé de DTNA pour faire remplacer le goujon d'alimentation intermédiaire.
