The issue

Issue: On certain buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash. UPDATE - After ARBOC notified Transport Canada about this problem, they determined that there are no Canadian vehicles affected by it. Accordingly, this safety recall was withdrawn. Safety Risk: There is no safety risk, as there are no Canadian vehicles affected by this problem. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. This notice was published for information only.

Problème : Sur certains autobus, les rétracteurs du dispositif d'immobilisation de fauteuil roulant pourraient ne pas avoir été fabriqués correctement. Par conséquent, le ou les rétracteurs pourraient ne pas se verrouiller automatiquement. Si cela se produisait, le fauteuil roulant pourrait ne pas être fixé correctement et il pourrait se déplacer en cas d'accident. MISE À JOUR - Après avoir informé Transports Canada de ce problème, ARBOC a déterminé qu'il n'y a aucun véhicule touché au Canada. Par conséquent, ce rappel de sécurité a été retiré.
