The issue
On certain vehicles, the design of the transmission and the transmission fluid used may not allow sufficient lubrication between the main-shaft and first gear, which spins on the mainshaft when the transmission is in fifth gear. If this occurs, the transmission can lock up causing a loss of vehicle control and possible vehicle crash.

Sur certains véhicules, par suite de la conception de la boite de vitesses et du type d'huile utilisé, la lubrification peut être insuffisante entre l'arbre principal et le pignon de première qui tourne dessus lorsque la cinquième vitesse est en prise. Dans ce cas, la boite de vitesses peut se bloquer et provoquer une perte de maîtrise du véhicule et un risque d'accidents.
