The issue

On certain vehicles, an improperly located locking tab inside the hood lock cylinder can prevent the lock from engaging. The hood lock cylinder is designed to support the hood once it is raised for access to the engine compartment. If the lock does not engage, this could result in the hood closing without warning. Correction: Dealers will replace the hood lock cylinder.

Sur certains véhicules, une languette de blocage mal située à l'intérieur du vérin de blocage du capot pourrait empêcher le verrou de jouer son rôle et le vérin de supporter le capot en position ouverte. Si le verrou ne fonctionne pas, le capot pourrait se fermer subitement. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le vérin de blocage du capot.
