Recall 2014053

The issue

On certain model vehicles, water around the windshield can migrate into the Electronic Power Distribution Module and contaminate it. As a result, circuits may be bridged creating an electrical short. This could potentially result in a fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the module, and if found contaminated, will replace it. Additional measures will be taken to address the leak if contamination is found.

Sur certains véhicules, de l'eau autour du pare-brise peut s'infiltrer dans le module de distribution électronique et le contaminer. Dans un tel cas, des circuits pourraient être reliés et créer un court-circuit. Ceci pourrait provoquer un incendie et augmenter les risques de blessures et/ou de dommages aux biens. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le module, et s'il est contaminé, le remplacer. D'autres mesures seront prises pour corriger la fuite si on trouve une contamination.
