The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the electric drive motor software could cause the vehicle to enter a fail-safe mode. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This problem would cause a warning light to turn on and a warning message to be displayed. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the electric drive motor software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a BMW dealership.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un problème avec le logiciel du moteur électrique pourrait entraîner le passage du véhicule en mode de sûreté intégrée. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte de puissance aux roues. Remarque : Ce problème entraînerait l'allumage d'un voyant d'avertissement et l'affichage d'un message d'avertissement. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : BMW doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et envoyer par transmission sans fil à chaque véhicule admissible la mise à jour du logiciel du moteur électrique. Les propriétaires peuvent également prendre rendez-vous pour faire effectuer la mise à jour chez un concessionnaire BMW
