The issue
On certain Volvo 740 and 760, the water pump pulley on may fail and pieces may be thrown about inside the engine compartment. This could pose a significant safety hazard to persons in the vicinity of the engine compartment if the vehicles was being serviced at the time of the failure.

Sur certaines Volvo 740 et 760, la poulie de la pompe à eau de ces véhicules peut se briser et des pièces peuvent être projetées partout dans le compartiment moteur. Si cet accident se produit au moment d'un travail sur le moteur du véhicule, il peut constituer un réel danger pour les personnes se tenant à proximité du compartiment moteur.
