The issue
Certain vehicles equipped with the 8.1L engine may have a condition where the fuel filter to component box mounting bolts are reversed. With the bolts reversed the threaded bolt end is orientated towards the front wall of the left hand fuel tank. In the event of a frontal collision the bolt could pierce the tank, resulting in fuel leakage which could result in a fire. Correction : Dealers will correctly install the bolts.

Sur certains véhicules équipés du moteur de 8,1 litres, il se peut que les boulons de montage du filtre de carburant sur la boîte d'accessoire aient été posés à l'envers, de sorte que l'extrémité filetée est orientée vers la paroi avant du réservoir de carburant gauche. En cas de collision frontale, le boulon peut percer le réservoir, causant une fuite de carburant qui peut provoquer un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser les boulons correctement.
