The issue
The steering wheel armature stamping may crack and separate from the centre hub of the steering column. This could adversely affect steering control and result in a possible crash without prior warning. Correction: Steering wheels exhibiting cracks will be replaced. All other involved vehicles will have a anti-separation plate installed to prevent separation of the steering wheel from the steering column.

La pièce matricée de l’armature du volant peut craquer et se détacher du centre de la colonne de direction. Il en résulterait une perte de maîtrise du véhicule et un risque d’accident. Correction: Les volants présentant des fissures devront être remplacés. Dans les autres cas, une plaque antiséparation sera posée pour éviter que le volant se détache de la colonne de direction.
