The issue

Issue: On certain motor coaches, the power cable in the battery compartment may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the cable could be damaged by contact with nearby parts. If this happens, the cable could create a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Motor Coach Industries (MCI) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the power cable in the battery compartment and reposition it, if necessary.

Problème : Sur certains autocars, le câble d'alimentation dans le compartiment de la batterie pourrait avoir été mal acheminé. Par conséquent, le câble pourrait s'endommager en entrant en contact avec les pièces adjacentes. Si cela se produit, le câble pourrait causer un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Motor Coach Industries (MCI) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour effectuer l'inspection du câble d'alimentation dans le compartiment de la batterie et pour le repositionner au besoin.
