The issue

On certain vehicles, the rubber portion of the fuel injection pipe clamps could deteriorate. Normal vehicle operation could cause the deteriorated clamp to loosen and drop. If this condition occurs in the area of the fuel injection pump, the engine starter could short circuit if the clamp drops onto the starter terminal. This could prevent the engine from starting. In the worst case, excessive heat from the short circuit could cause a fire. Correction: Dealers will replace the outer portion of each of the four fuel injection pipe clamps.

Sur certains véhicules, la partie en caoutchouc des colliers de serrage des canalisations d'alimentation en carburant pourrait se détériorer. À l'usage, les brides pourraient se desserrer et se détacher. Si cela se produisait près de la pompe à injection de carburant, il pourrait se produire un court circuit dans le démarreur si la bride tombait sur la borne du démarreur. Ce court circuit pourrait empêcher le moteur de démarrer. Dans le pire des cas, une chaleur extrême produite par le court circuit pourrait provoquer un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la partie externe de chacun des quatre brides des canalisations d'alimentation en carburant.
